Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards

The first annual Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards will be held Saturday February 1st at The Fairmont Royal York.

This is an extremely pivotal point in Canadian Fashion because this is the first time Canadian fashion will be recognized on such a grand level. Canadian fashion designers, models and stylists, both at home and abroad, will be acknowledged with an awards ceremony.

The whole point of this ceremony is to celebrate established and emerging talent in Canadian Fashion and to encourage these big names to build a larger fan base at home rather than creating a home base in Europe.

Tickets for this event are $650 a person or $10,000 for a corporate table. Sephora will be hosting the after-party at $100 dollars a ticket. If you are someone who is a major supporter of Canadian Fashion, loves fashion in general or even has $100 to spare, I highly recommend trying to get to the after party. If you’re a fashion fan girl like myself this will not be lacking fashion heavy weights.

Joe Mimran – creator of Joe Fresh is the organizations Honorary chair of the jury vote. Other members include Carolyn Quinn, head of IMG World Canada and Toronto Fashion Week, Fashion Magazine editor-in-chief Bernadette Morra and Elle Canada’s Noreen Flanagan.
